Al Tariq shines once more in February in UAE

Less than two weeks ago, AL TARIQ earned well-deserved black type on the occasion of the Jebel Ali Sprint, a Listed race he bagged on February 5th when displaying tenacity to defeat stablemate Fanaar, a Listed winner at 3 in England. Yesterday evening at Meydan, Doug Watson trainee owned by Abdul Mohsen Al Abdul Kareem, reached a new level when easily landing the Al Shindagha Sprint (Gr.3) under Pat Dobbs again. It is a real satisfaction for his connections who kept him away from the tracks for nearly a year after the gelding 5yo sustained a hairline in his elbow early 2020.

Bred in France by Selim Blanga Moghrabi at Haras de Montaigu, the son of Oasis Dream was purchased in May 2018 for €150,000 at the ARQANA Breeze Up Sale by ITC (International Thoroughbred Consultants), the commercial entity of Haras de Gouffern. ITC was then acting on behalf of Sheikh Abdallah Al Maddah, breeder and owner of Group 1 winner at 2 Mkfancy. Trained at Chantilly by Pia Brandt, Al Tariq started his career in France before being sold and exported to UAE.

ITC and Haras de Gouffern express their special congratulations to his connections!
