Yesterday, Sunday November 24^th, at Abu Dhabi, the Athbah Stud protégé MASHHUR AL KHALEDIAH recorded the best performance of his career when landing the Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Jewel Crown (Gr.1 PA), the richest race for Arabina horses in the world, with French jockey Jean-Bernard Eyquem on board.
From October 7^th 2018, the date marking the success of FAZZA AL KHALEDIAH in the Qatar Arabian World Cup (Gr.1 PA), four horses born and bred at Haras de Gouffern lined up in races. And they all performed at Gr.1 PA level! More details on this success story here…

Fazza Al Khalediah, a 2018-2019 auntumn/winter campaign full of success
Before landing the 2018 renewal of the Qatar Arabian World Cup (Gr.1 PA), Fazza Al Khalediah remained on nine wins in Poland and Italy (including a Listed PA in Milan) and a 2^nd place in a Gr.3 at Warsaw. Last year at ParisLongchamp, he won in impressive style the most prestigious race for Arabian horses before heading to Middle East. There, he finish thgree times 2^nd in the most prominent races, the Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Jewel Crown (Gr.1 PA) at Abu Dhabi, the Prince Sultan World Cup in Saudi Arabia and the Dubai Kahayla Classic (Gr.1 PA) at Meydan. This horse now aged 5 is a son of Gr.1 hero Jalnar Al Khalidiah out of Assma Al Khalediah.

A memorable 2019 Arc de Triomphe weekend for Haras de Gouffern
The prestigious Arc de Triomphe weekend started on Friday October 4th on Saint-Cloud racecourse with two Gr.1 PA races. In the Qatar Arabian Trophy des Poulains (Gr.1 PA) for 3yo colts, JARIF ran 2^nd after displaying a spectacular burst of speed in the home stretch. Owned and bred by Haif Al Ghatani, Haras de Rabodanges and HASEG, he was born and raised at Haras de Gouffern. A son of two great Champion horses, Dahess and multiple Gr.1 PA winning mare Kiss de Ghazal, Jarif has the potential for a promising future under the care of Elisabeth Bernard.

In the race dedicated to 3yo fillies, the Qatar Arabian Trophy des Pouliches (Gr.1 PA), ARTEMIS, another Haras de Gouffern bred Arabian trained by Elisabeth Bernard, offered a 3^rd place to her owner Shiekh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Thani. Thie daughter of Azadi out of Gr.1 PA winning mare Ocyrrhoé was born adn bred at Haras de Gouffern on behalf of HASEG and Haif Al Ghatani. She started her career under the colors of her breeders before changing hands following her easy maiden victory at La Teste on July 31^st.

On Sunday October 6th, less than half an hour before the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe (Gr.1), MASHHUR AL KHALEDIAH proved that he belongs among the current greatest Arabian horses in the world  when running 3^rd in the Qatar Arabian World Cup (Gr.1 PA) only beaten by multiple Gr.1 PA winners Ebraz and Khataab. After leading the field during all the race, Mashhur held on strongly to keep his feet on the podium. At Abu Dhabi on Sunday, Philip Collington’s charge won his Gr.1 PA title after a third attempt only at that level. Born and bred at Haras de Gouffern on behalf of Khalediah Stables, he is like Jarif a son of the late Jalnar Al Khaldiah.
