Bateel was an impressive winner of the Group 1 Qatar Prix de Vermeille where she beat the Group 1 winning filly Journey by two and a half lengths, with last year's victress Left Hand back in third place.
This was Bateel’s third successive victory after lifting a Group 2 at Deauville in August and a Group 3 at Haydock in June. She is entered in the Qipco British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes at Ascot on 21 October.
The five-year-old daughter of Dubawi is out of Attractive Crown who I.T.C. purchased for US$ 260,000 at the Keeneland Sales for the Al Asayl Stables, owned by HH Sheikh Khalifa Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE.
Attractive Crown also produced Listed winner Basemah, bred by Haras de Gouffern and sold at the Deauville August Yearling Sales for EUR190 000.
Congratulations to Al Asayl Stables, Francis Graffard and Pierre-Charles Boudot!
